A Great night under the stars to raise awareness of homelessness

On Friday 21st Oct, a group of people including students from Newman College braved the cold to sleep out to raise funds for Vincent House.  The weather was a pleasant 5 degrees, and with no rain and very little wind, so  everyone’s shelters made it through the night to 6am the next morning.

Thanks to Trevor’ Food Store who provided the food for the evening and the cardboard which kept us warm. A range of shelters where created ranging from a double bed with headboard and pillows, to a family shelter by our youngest participant.

That’s Lancashire came down and filmed during the evening and also spoke to range of people who attended. The event was a great  success, and hopefully will pathe the way for the creation of an annual event which will hopefully go from strength to strength.
