On Wednesday 15 January 2025, Caritas Care will join voluntary adoption agencies (VAAs) across the UK in celebrating Big Adoption Day 2025. We will be hosting both in-person and virtual events, offering prospective adoptive parents the chance to learn more about building their families through adoption. Adopters will share their personal stories, celebrating their journeys while highlighting the vital role VAAs play throughout the adoption process.
With nine decades of experience, Caritas Care is dedicated to providing personalised services to adopters from all backgrounds. We have successfully placed hundreds of children, including older children, sibling groups, and children from the global majority or with disabilities, into loving homes.
Currently, 2,410 children in England are waiting to be adopted, including 1,110 who have been waiting more than 18 months.* The need for adoptive parents is urgent, and VAAs like Caritas Care play a critical role in finding permanent, loving homes for these children.
One of the unique strengths of VAAs is their lifelong support for adoptive families. This support is tailored to meet families’ evolving needs, ensuring they receive the help they need, whenever they need it. It’s no surprise that every VAA is rated Outstanding or Good by Ofsted**.
