Three lucky ladies from our Supported Living Team Katrina, Kerry and Gemma had a trip of a life time when they set sail on the Cruise Liner Britannia to discover the gems of the Mediterranean in September 2018. The ladies were supported by Caritas Care Support Workers Sharon Muldowney, Chris Hill and Chris Hoyle.

Their exciting adventure start early morning when they set off, by luxury coach we might add, from Preston to Southampton where they embarked on their cruise ship to enjoy this amazing itinerary:

Day 1   Luxury coach from Preston to Southampton. Embarked on the Britannia and set sail at 5pm

Day 2  At sea  – relaxed and looked around the ship.

Day 3   Bilbao, Spain

Day 4    Gijon, Spain

Day 5     La Coruna, Spain

Day 6   St Peter Port Guernsey

Day 7   Arrived back in Southampton

The Highlights

The ladies loved dressing up and watching the entertainment on-board, which consisted of a different theme every night to enjoy.

The food was plentiful with a wide selection to please everyone. They loved the freedom and flexibility of being able to eat whenever they wanted (and whatever they wanted too)!

It was a real treat to wake up in a different town everyday and have a new place to explore, especially when the weather was so beautiful too!

The whole group had a fabulous trip which took a great deal of planning and saving. Kerry, Katrina and Gemma played a huge part in planning the trip and deciding where they wanted to go and what they would like to see.  Everyone got on a treat and thoroughly enjoyed every single second of their adventures on the sea!

The ladies have not planned an adventure for 2019 yet, but watch this space…
