The staff at HASSSRA (Health and Social Security Recreation Association) in Preston have been busy raising funds throughout 2016 in support of Caritas Care’s FX project.
Their amazing fundraising efforts have included in house competitions and several raffles organised by the staff throughout the year and in total they have raised an impressive £1007.60!
Cath Francis (FX Team Leader) and Anna Reid Strang (Assistant Team Leader) attended a presentation at HASSRA’s offices in Preston on Tuesday 14th February to receive the cheque They took along some of the young people who attend the FX day service, who were all made to feel very welcome throughout their visit.
Our special thanks to Richard Gawne who has played an active part in organising the fundraising activities and to the team at HASSRA for engaging and supporting our FX service.
HASSRA is part of a committee for sports and social events within the civil service. Each local office nominates a charity each year and we are thrilled that Caritas Care’s FX Service has been nominated for a second year as their Charity for 2017.
HASSSRA Committee members have been invited to visit the FX day service to meet the young people and the staff team soon and we look forward to working with the team to support their fundraising efforts.
