Fancy a trip to the seaside? ….Or a day at the swimming baths? ….Or need a lift to work?

For most of us these decisions are straight forward.

Caritas Care wants  to make these decisions straight forward for people in our community that have learning and physical disabilities, who require accessible transport and specialist support to access new experiences.

Last year Sally experienced the slopes of the Chill Factor along with several of her friends. Sally has profound learning and physical disabilities and is dependant on a wheelchair and 24 hr care. Caritas Care organised the trip to give Sally the opportunity of a lifetime to ski down the slope in a specially adapted toboggan, she didn’t need to tell us how she felt – her smile said it all!

Stephen is working every week in a garden centre. Despite his learning disability, Stephen is confident and smiles at everyone and loves to help customers choose their plants. Without Caritas Care Stephen would not be able to work here and learn these valuable life skills.

Sadly our minibuses are tired and we need to raise vital funds to provide more chances, choices and opportunities for people like Sally and Stephen and you can help us achieve it!
