It was with great sadness that we had to close our doors at Plungington Community Centre last month due to the current Coronavirus pandemic. We understand that this will be a loss to the community and so we have been talking to our partners to look at ways we can offer you some of our activities remotely. Here are a few links on the activities now available online:
Dance Syndrome
An inclusive dance charity led by people with learning disabilities, is hosting regular dance workshops on YouTube. These are suitable for everyone of all ages & abilities, to join in click here
You will see your regular Dance Leaders leading Everybody Dance sessions as well as a Creative Dance session once a week. These sessions are free, although donations are always very welcome
Over the last couple of weeks Dance Syndrome have also been trying out live, interactive Zoom sessions. These have been really well received and are lots of fun! They are co-led just as the regular sessions are by a different team of Dance Artist and dance Leader each week. There is a small charge of £2.50 to help to cover costs on these sessions. The sessions are every Wednesday at 3pm. You can find out more here
Menhear, a support group for men promoting health and wellbeing, are hosting weekly online support groups via zoom. They will be held at 2pm every Tuesday and Thursday. All men welcome 18+ years. If you have never talked online you don’t have to switch your camera on, you can just listen. To find out more, here are the links to their website and social media news feeds.
