We’re delighted to announce that we have been rated ‘Outstanding’ after a recent Ofsted inspection.
As a specialist voluntary adoption agency operating throughout the North West, we have received high praise from Ofsted inspectors, continuing the ‘Outstanding’ rating since 2014.
The report said: “The actions of the voluntary adoption agency contribute to significantly improved outcomes and positive experiences for children and young people.
“The agency values diversity, and there is no discrimination in relation to sexuality, ethnicity, marital status or religious persuasion. Prospective adopters value this.
“Thorough adopter preparation training, and the assessment process itself, ensure that prospective adopters are well prepared for parenting an adopted child.
“The leadership and management of the agency is particularly strong and ambitious. A board of trustees is kept well informed about plans and developments in the agency; they provide effective challenge but are committed to providing a high-quality adoption service.”
Susan Swarbrick, Head of Children’s Services, said: “We are extremely proud and also humbled to have been judged as outstanding by OFSTED in ALL areas of our work – this is a great achievement and endorses the hard work, dedication and commitment of our staff team, trustees and families.
“To be able to improve the outcomes for the children with whom we work is extremely important to us and to have the quality of our work with children and adopters recognised by Ofsted during this inspection is incredibly rewarding.”
